Our mission is to transform the wound healing paradigm, activating, and unlocking a wave of medical solutions across the entire medical ecosystem.

CytoDynamics provides a multidimensional platform for the quantitative analysis of cell migration at the single cell, multicellular monolayer, 3-dimensional organotypic and ex vivo tissue levels that is adaptable to address questions in basic cell biology, tissue physiology and the pathophysiology of human disease. CytoDynamics has developed a mechanically controlled, 3-D-capable instrument and a unique analysis software program capable of generating quantifiable information on such critical processes as single and collective cell tracking and migration, live and fixed cell imaging, drug screening and assessment of therapeutic efficacy, cellular response to environmental, biochemical or genetic perturbations and disease-related alterations in cell behavior.

The system is optimized to produce highly uniform single or multiple wounds in target cell types and “tissues” in a linear, intersecting or orthogonal or 360 degree format and is housed in a laminar flow environment to maintain sterility post-manipulation to allow replacement back into a culture incubator for short or long term study. There is the opportunity to assess patient-personalized as well as cell- and tissue-specific phenotypic alterations in the migratory response to conventional and experimental protocols. This platform is a novel tool that will facilitate study of fundamental events in cell motility in simple and complex organotypic or ex vivo systems, the identification of wound repair therapeutics particularly for patients with chronic and difficult-to-heal pathologies, and the screening of anti-migratory anti-metastatic drugs as well as molecularly-targeted, perhaps patient-individualized, therapeutics.
